Astra 2/2025

June is here! And with it a new issue of Astra.

Astra issue 2/2025 is a collaboration between editors Sofia Elie and Elliot Lundegård, and they have been to film festivals, interviewed exciting authors, and had the honor of publishing funny, beautiful, and moving contributions from writers and photographers from different corners of the Nordic region and the world.

The issue contains, among other things, a photo reportage by Ukrainian Anya Tsaruk , poetry about language and belonging by Jakob Niedziela and a very recent short story play by Mirva Helenius , in which she explores contemporary stories about war and militarism based on Svetlana Aleksijevic’s writing. And much more!

The issue is available in stores in both Finland and Sweden now. You can find our retailers here , and you can also order a printed or digital copy directly.

If your local library or bookstore doesn’t have Astra, ask them to contact us at [email protected] and we’ll arrange it!
